Where do we begin with this list? As one of the leading global tourist destinations and a thriving international business hub, Dubai has attracted some of the world’s biggest names in the food and beverage industry. Every year the industry becomes more competitive as new entrants try to carve out their niche on the restaurant scene.
For our list, we’re going to focus on the leading high end restaurants in the Emirate:
Zuma

Located at DIFC Dubai, Zuma is an instant favourite for anyone who loves Japanese food. And a great atmosphere too. In our opinion, the atmosphere is as important as the food. The lighting it perfect, the ambiance is perfect and the food is delicious. We could recommend specific dishes, but to be honest there’s too much…
Gaia

Another great dining place located in DIFC Dubai is a new addition to the list and was recently awarded restaurant of the year. What we like about Gaia is not just the quality of food, but also the reasonable pricing. Yes, that’s correct. You can have an incredible meal here without spending a fortune.
Il Borro

Italian lovers rejoice. This is by far the best Italian food we have tried in Dubai. And what makes it even more special is the setting. It is located in the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel and it offers a sunken restaurant outdoor surrounded by water with turtles swimming throughout…the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner for two 🙂
La Petite Maison

Consistently a high ranking, award winning restaurant in Dubai. The finest French food you will find in the Emirate, located at DIFC Dubai. It really is a place for all occasions and al groups. Our favourite dishes – burrata, crab and lobster salad, whole grilled sea bass and all their cheesecakes.
Nusr-et

Unless you live in world without social media, you cannot have missed the famous Salt Bae. This man certainly knows how to put on a show, and has staff all do as well. Be prepared for a spectacle and an atmosphere…and if you want the best steak dish you’ve ever tried, go for the Nusr-Et special. Their Dubai branch located in Jumeirah Beach is definitely worth a try.
I don’t like looking back. I’m always constantly looking forward. I’m not the one to sort of sit and cry over spilt milk. I’m too busy looking for the next cow.
Whilst we have found it difficult to even shortlist 5 restaurants in the city of Dubai, we feel the post wouldn’t be complete without a number one choice. So here we go:
OUR NUMBER ONE
If we had to put it down to one restaurant above the rest, we would have to focus on consistency. What restaurant has been consistently popular for the longest period of time. Nuzr-et and Gaia are arguably the restaurants with the most buzz at the moment, but the popularity comes and goes. We’re going to have to go with a restaurant that has stood the test of time and has been consistently popular for years. This makes our choice for Dubai’s number one fine dining restaurant: La Petite Maison. This restaurant is located in DIFC, Dubai’s financial hub, which is home to many incredible restaurants.
